Payroll Assistant

  Central Malta  |  €20,000 - €25,000 Annually 

Our client in Corporate Services is looking for a Payroll Assistant to support with client payroll and join their team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Processing payroll of multiple clients with different deadlines 
  • Calculating and amending records in terms of taxes, social security and deductions 
  • Ensuring compliance with local individual tax laws 
  • Maintaining accurate records of payroll transactions 
  • Resolving discrepancies when required 
  • Preparing payroll reports for clients 
  • Managing the clients database 
  • Assisting clients on day to day queries and operations 
  • Keeping updated with regards to payroll legislations and laws 
  • Supporting in the day to day duties

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of previous experience working in a similar role locally
  • Proficiency in payroll software or similar, particularly Shireburn

Education and Experience

  • Payroll related certifcates such as CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) are considered an asset
