Junior Actuarial Associate

Our client within the Insurance Industry is looking to recruit a Junior Actuarial Associate to join their team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Enhancing and expanding the financial risk management framework, encompassing all key elements such as risk identification, measurement, monitoring, control, and reporting of financial risks
• Supporting the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) in delivering the regulated risk management function, advising the Board of Directors, and aligning with the Group CRO function
• Executing the annual capital model cycle, including quarterly modeling, validation, and comprehensive documentation
• Applying quantitative risk management and analytics, contributing to the capital model’s use test through stress and scenario analysis, and offering risk insights on strategic decisions while considering overall risk-bearing capacity
• Participating in the execution of the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA), including regular reviews of risk strategy and recommendations on risk appetite
• Assisting in the preparation of regulatory and internal risk reporting cycles
• Meeting regulatory obligations and supporting ad hoc studies and projects as required
• Maintaining robust risk governance through up-to-date documentation and formal approval processes
• Engaging stakeholders and promoting the integration of the financial risk management framework across local and group-wide levels

Requirements

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken
• Experience in interacting with regulatory authorities within the financial services industry is a plus
• Strong communication abilities, capable of presenting complex topics clearly and transparently, and delivering high-quality reports tailored to management's needs

Education and Experience

• University degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or a related field, ideally supplemented by additional training in risk management or finance
