Risk & Compliance Manager

A reputable client of ours specialised int eh Insurance sector is looking to onboard a Risk & Compliance Manager to join their team of professionals:

Duties:

• Present Risk Management metrics including but not limited to dashboards and emerging risks to the risk and compliance committee and the Board
• Responsible for the risk management function of the Company, liaising regularly and efficiently on any related topics
• Liaise with the actuarial function holder and the internal actuary on reserving and technical provisions
• Identifying, analysing, and measuring risks, capturing these in a risk register
• Advising management on ways to mitigate risks and improve processes and procedures accordingly
• Drafting of ORSA, SFCR reports and any other ad-hoc risk management reports as required by the regulator
• Liaise with the Compliance Officer on MFSA requirements and reporting
• Ensure products, deals, and agreements follow all regulatory requirements and all internal policies
• Ensure the company’s compliance with current and future local and international legal and regulatory rules, regulations, guidelines and requirements
• Develop and implement an annual training plan for directors, officers and employees

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years' proven experience working in a similar role
• Strong knowledge and experience with risk assessments and controls
• A minimum of 5 years local working experience within the insurance industry, in relation to compliance and regulation standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, as well as presentation skills
• Experience with auditing and reporting procedures

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Law, Finance, or a related field, is a requirement
