Employment lawyer

  Central Malta  |  €40,000 - €45,000 Annually 

Our client, a leading law firm is seeking to recruit an Employment lawyer to join their team. The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assisting clients with drafting and reviewing of employment contracts
  • Providing advice on employment issues
  • Advising on disciplinary matters, including forming part of independent disciplinary boards
  • Supporting and protecting whistleblowers and ensuring they are safeguarded
  • Contributing to legal due diligence exercises 
  • Drafting and amending policies and procedures on behalf of clients
  • Carrying out legal research and analysis and keeping abreast with any related laws
  • Leading and coordinating business development initiatives
  • Managing client relationships 
  • Representing clients in tribunal cases
  • Providing on the job training and participating in academic initiatives whilst publishing related articles and analyses
  • Developing and contributing towards the organization’s traineeship and young lawyer program through mentoring and training initiatives

Requirements

  • Minimum four years of experience in a similar role locally
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in Maltese and English
  • Highly organized and driven
  • Possess excellent analytical skills
  • Meticulous with an eye for detail

Education and Experience

  • Hold a warrant to practice law in Malta
