Fintech and Financial Services Lawyer

Our client, a leading law firm is looking to recruit a Fintech and Financial Services Lawyer.

Main responsibilities include :

  • Provide legal and business support to clients, delivering expert guidance as needed.
  • Work closely with partners and colleagues, sharing insights and expertise to strengthen the firm's capabilities.
  • Assist businesses in setting up operations and securing regulatory approvals in Malta and other jurisdictions where the firm operates.
  • Help clients obtain licenses, authorizations, and approvals from the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) and other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, employment, and other legal agreements, with supervision as required.
  • Support clients in navigating regulatory and corporate procedures with appropriate authorities.
  • Conduct legal research as necessary.
  • Oversee intellectual property registrations.
  • Contribute to the firm's thought leadership and professional reputation across various legal fields.
  • Maintain the firm's high standards of service by diligently representing clients' interests.
  • Assist in business development efforts and contribute to the firm’s growth.

Requirements

  • Experience in fintech and financial services is advantageous.
  • At least two years of experience as a practicing lawyer

Education and Experience

  • Possess a Law degree and warrant to practice as an advocate in Malta
