Legal Counsel (Gaming)

  Central Malta  |  €50,000 - €55,000 Annually 

A gaming company is currently on the lookout for a Legal Counsel to join their team.

Duties include: 

  • Drafting, negotiating and reviewing of commercial contracts and agreements
  • Advising on a wide range of commercial matters such as intellectual property, technology, and internal/service contracts
  •  Advising and supporting other departments as may be necessary
  • Overseeing contractual obligations and maintaining contractual and regulatory relations
  •  Identifying legal issues, providing analysis of legal risks and assisting in the creation and implementation of solutions
  • Assisting in building a scalable foundation for the legal team including developing templates and processes
  • Liaising with external advisors and regulatory authorities
  • Legal Research and staying abreast with regulatory updates
  • Maintaining records of group policies and procedures and uphold them internally as well as towards relevant regulatory authorities
  • Providing administrative support to the legal team as required
  • Other responsibilities as may be required and determined by management from time to time.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of local experience in a similar, contracts-focused role. iGaming industry experience would be considered as an asset
  • Experience with Privacy and GDPR would be considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of online gaming legislation and industry best practices
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English

  • Masters of Advocacy
