Legal Counsel

Our client, is looking to recruit a Legal Counsel to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Support team members to ensure all departmental goals are met
• Identify gapes in regulation, policy and procedure, leading the development and review of internal frameworks to maintain their relevance 
• Support the drafting of policy papers by handling research, coordination with stakeholders locally and internationally as well as internal meetings 
• Representing the organisation in overseas conferences, forums and events 
• Monitor EU and global regulatory developments, providing timely insight and guidance to internal teams 
• Providing legal advice when required 
• Support the organisation with legal cases as required, liaising with internal and external parties to ensure accurate representation and compliance
• Supporting in the day to day running of all legal matters and the Chief of Legal 

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of local experience working in a similar field and role
• Excellent written and Verbal English
• Knowledge of local laws and regulations
• Travelling is involved
• Previous experience in policy-making and/or international affairs would be considered an asset

Education and Experience

• Locally Warranted and Qualified Lawyer
