Vetting Lawyer

  Central Malta  |  €20,000 - €25,000 Annually 

Our client, a boutique law firm is looking to recruit a Vetting Lawyer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough and meticulous reviews of legal documents, including contracts, public registry searches and other documentation
  • Represent/assist clients on public deeds in order to ensure proper client representation and guidance and successful conclusion;      
  • Identify and assess potential legal risks and liabilities associated with various transactions, business activities, or legal matters, providing insights and recommendations to mitigate those risks;
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest changes in legislation, regulations, and industry best practices;
  • Collaborate with the legal team to provide valuable input during client representation, contract negotiations, offering legal advice and risk assessments;
  • Clearly communicate legal findings, risks, and recommendations to the client;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide timely legal insights and ensure cohesive decision-making;
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize vetting processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all legal reviews.
  • Prepare reports subsequent to the conclusion of the deed confirming successful completion of contracts or all relevant registrations.  

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role but training will be provided.
  • Fresh graduates will have the chance to learn and grow within the company
  • Fluent in the Maltese and English language

Education and Experience

  • Locally qualified with Master in Law
