A client of ours specialised in the Retail and FMCG sectors, is looking to onboard a Chief Marketing Officer to join their growing team; The designated person will be working closely with Senior Management and the CEO and will oversee the execution of the company’s marketing and advertising initiatives:
Duties:
- Develop strategies to acquire new customers and retain existing ones, enhancing customer loyalty and lifetime value
- Monitor and report on marketing performance metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve financial targets.
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources
- Implement customer feedback mechanisms to continuously improve the customer experience
- Ensure all marketing communications are coordinated to support marketing plan objectives, and are an effective expenditure of resources
- Develop and execute brand marketing initiatives to enhance the company’s image and reputation
- Oversee and provide direction for market and competitor analysis, and provide leadership, direction and management for the market research function
- Develop the annual marketing plan, strategies, tactics and resources necessary to achieve respective goals
- Make use of data analytics skills to ensure that relevant and accurate data concerning market and customer trends is available for long-term, financially feasible and sustainable data drive recommendations to the CEO
- Provide marketing skills and expertise to the company by building, developing and managing a marketing team capable of carrying out the necessary marketing strategies and tactics
- Handle business and market development, as well as market research and planning
Requirements
- A proven track record of achieving results in well defined areas
- Strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive a team towards successful target achievements
- Proficiency in marketing software and tools (e.g., CRM, analytics platforms, digital marketing tools).
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Must have a native level of verbal and written fluency in English, and ideally in Maltese as well
Education and Experience
- A Degree in an area pertaining to Marketing, with a postgraduate qualification will be considered an asset
