Care Home Operations Manager

Our client is on the lookout for an Care Home Operations Manager to join their growing team within the Care Industry in Malta. The ideal candidate must come from a background of healthcare or home cares and will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations, managing budgets and ensuring that the services provided are of the highest quality and meet the latest standards.

Your Responsibilities:

• Oversee activities directly related to providing a high-quality service to residents.  
• Manage daily operations, including the planning and allocation of materials and human resources.  
• Ensure that all required audits are completed on time, and implement corrective actions as needed.  
• Monitor departments to ensure services are delivered efficiently and within budgetary limits.  
• Provide regular updates internally on admissions, moves, incidents, purchases, and equipment requirements.  
• Review performance data, activity reports, and identify areas for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and service enhancement.  
• Anticipate potential issues, prioritize them, develop action plans, and ensure timely completion of tasks.  
• Establish and implement departmental policies, objectives, and procedures in consultation with government officials and staff.  
• Ensure the competency and safe operation of all medical devices, addressing any issues with broken or unsafe equipment.  
• Provide regular written reports as requested, ensuring clarity and the identification of key facts.  

Requirements

• Knowledgeable on the latest standards of care issued by the Older Persons Standards Authority
• Strong people and communication skills.
• Leadership flair with excellent problem solving skills is sought after.
• Native level of Maltese is preferred, however, fluency in English is a must - verbal and written
• Must be already based in Malta with local experience within the Care Industry

Education and Experience

• University level of Education is preferred
• 2 years experience as a minimum is required
