Our client, whose operations focus on raw materials for building services, is seeking a Plant Operations Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for:
Help oversee daily operations of silos and plant facilities.
Coordinate and plan plant activities in collaboration with sales and credit control departments.
Manage fleet operations, bowser loading, and stock handling.
Aid in unloading operations of incoming vessels.
Provide daily reports on plant operations, stock levels, and maintenance.
Maintain plant facilities as needed.
Ensure shop floor organization, plant facility upkeep, and promote health and safety practices.
Maintain Company vehicles.
Support the plant manager.
Assist with miscellaneous tasks as required.
Requirements
Problem solving skills and demonstrated initiative in identifying areas of opportunity
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate
A self-starter lead who takes responsibility for quality of results and requires minimal supervision
Able to work flexible hours and during weekends when necessary
