Field Support Officer
Location: Field locations (not Athens)
Gategory Salary IV: Gross monthly - 2.894,57 Euros
Job Description
The Field Support Officer works under the supervision of EUAA, performing some or all of the following tasks:
• Work under the supervision of the EUAA Measure Coordinator and contribute to the overall management of the EUAA Operation under responsibility; The tasks may focus on asylum and/or reception operations;
• Support the Greek authorities and contribute to the overall management of the Operation under responsibility;
• Coordinate the day-to-day management of the Operation, including planning, implementation, assessment of needs, personnel management, problem-solving;
• Provide support in managing contacts, in implementation of the instructions of EUAA at central level;
• Liaise and network with internal and external stakeholders, e.g. other European and International institutions, NGOs, national authorities and others;
• Provide support to field operations in other locations than the duty station, as requested;
• Perform frequent missions for the performance of the tasks, as requested;
• Attend and/or organize regular meetings with stakeholders at national or local level, as requested;
• Be available to participate in missions, as per the operational needs of EUAA;
• Participate in trainings organised by EUAA or other stakeholders at national or local level, as requested;
• Provide regular analytical reports and statistics of provided services and challenges;
• Draft documents, templates, minutes and reports;
• Perform any other tasks in the interest of the service, relevant for the specific profile.
Requirements
• University degree is required;
• Post-graduate degree will be an advantage;
• Demonstrated previous experience in relevant tasks and in particular in managing and coordinating big intercultural and interdisciplinary teams is required;
• Field experience in the migration and asylum context will be an advantage;
• Fluency in English (oral and written);
• Computer literacy, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel), use of internet and web-based applications;
• Excellent intercultural/interdisciplinary communication skills;
• Excellent organisational skills, management skills and problem-solving skills;
• Analytical skills and ability to work as a member of team.
