Project Planner & Systems

  South of Malta  |  up to €60,000 Annually 

Our client, a leading local company, is looking to recruit a Project Planner & Systems to support the PM Team and assist Management as may be required in the below-listed activities.  

Reporting to the Head of Projects, the chosen candidate will be responsible to:  

  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to gather project requirements and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to devise and implement project plan templates tailored to the needs of Stages I, II, and III.
  • Create detailed project plans in alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Adopt, update, and maintain the Projects Master Program as per management directives.
  • Regularly review and revise project schedules to reflect current progress and any changes.
  • Establish a common tracking mechanism to ensure consistency and accuracy across all project management activities.
  • Review and assess the Contractor’s programs to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Develop and implement a standardized tracking mechanism to monitor the progress of all contractors.
  • Ensure that all project managers are aligned with the tracking system and aware of any changes.
  • Establish and manage an effective baseline change control mechanism.
  • Monitor any deviations from the project baseline and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
  • Oversee the design process for projects, ensuring that all design deliverables meet the required standards.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and external consultants to develop standardized design deliverables for Stages I and II.
  • Review design submissions and provide feedback to ensure they meet project specifications and expectations.
  • Assist the Head of Projects in creating a harmonized Specification document for all projects.
  • Support Management in conducting design meetings and critiques for major projects, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Help Management prepare RFQs for civil and architectural consultants for major projects.
  • Manage the RFQ process for minor to medium-sized projects, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and complete.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in a similar role;
  • Very good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills;
  • Ability to work unsupervised and work in multi-disciplinary teams;
  • Able to work flexible hours, with a valid driving license.

Education and Experience

  • Experience in Civil Engineering Services and/or Construction is a must
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental best practice;
  • Proficiency and experience in the use of Autocad, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
