Production Manager

Our client within the manufacturing team is looking for a Production Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Malta Site Lead and Senior Leadership Team with escalations affecting the Business Unit.
• Define and deliver a Technical Implementation Plan (TIP) along with weekly updates and supporting data.
• Lead Gemba, Level 2 meetings, Escalation Meetings, and Operations Reviews for the Business Unit.
• Lead 8D and 4C reports for process-related complaints, with support from the quality team.
• Manage factory variances, including overtime, unrecovered time, and training.
• Support the planning department with forecasting requirements.
• Participate in end-of-month financial analysis, comparing actual results to job estimates and analyzing variances.
• Monitor budgets
• Ensure timely completion of stock takes in line with end-of-period or year-end requirements.
• Collate and analyze data for operational insights.
• Participate in estimate builds, especially during budget periods, and contribute information for estimate compilation.
• Define and manage headcount based on Area Loading Capacity, ensuring manpower aligns with budget needs.
• Compile and populate EAs in line with budget requirements.
• Lead a team of Front Line Managers to achieve area KPIs for the Business Unit.
• Drive technological improvements in support of Industry 4.0 and foster technological advancement within the Business Unit.
• Continuously improve the value stream of the Business Unit.

Requirements

• Have excellent level of communication both in Maltese and English
• Able to work in a dynamic environment
• Familiar with Lean Methodology and/or Lean Six Sigma
• Ideally have experience in similar role

Education and Experience

• Hold NVQ Level 5 Diploma standard of education or higher
