Project Engineer

  South of Malta  |  €24,000 - €28,000 Annually 

We are looking for a Project Engineer to work with a leading HVAC provider in Malta. You will be assisting with the scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality. You will be responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects and will establish inspection criteria for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring of assigned engineering projects;
  • Following specification and calculations to create various technical drawings;
  • Preparing both rough sketches and detailed work with ACAD systems;
  • Performing calculations for materials and weight limitations;
  • Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans and personnel performance and reporting on the project’s status;
  • Cooperating and communicating directly with the Operations Manager and other project participants and collaborating with senior engineers to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project’s profitability;
  • Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions;
  • Developing specifications for the project’s needed equipment;
  • Making inspections on project site, preparing site reports, designs and drawings and all related variation quotes and bills;
  • Ensuring the project’s compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards and specification.

Requirements:

  •  Bachelor of Science in engineering, architecture or similar
  • Candidates with local experience and driving license will be given preference
  • Good command of the English language is a must, whilst Maltese is preferred
  • Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software;
  • Excellent project management and supervision skills 
  • Excellent organisational, time management, leadership and decision-making skills.
