The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of M&E projects. This role involves managing resources, budgets, and schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Project Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.
Responsibilities
- Regularly visit ongoing project sites to ensure effective execution of work.
- Prepare materials and tools for project tasks and maintain updated records of their usage and return.
- Coordinate with the department manager to ensure timely procurement of materials and allocate technicians/installers for specific tasks.
- Oversee a team of technicians/installers, providing guidance on installation requirements and ensuring timely completion in line with standards.
- Liaise with suppliers for orders, designs, and technical support as needed.
- Report site issues and work amendments to the department manager to maintain project efficiency.
- Communicate with customers about project progress and address any required changes.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and drawing offices to ensure successful project execution.
- Handle administrative tasks, including preparing necessary project documentation.
- Stay updated on service station software and hardware.
- Provide support to the maintenance team and assist technicians on-site as needed.
- Attend project meetings, training sessions, conferences, and factory visits, both locally and abroad.
Requirements
- An Engineering qualification from a recognized institution would be considered an asset
- Previous local experience in engineering projects, preferably in fuel, mechanical, or electrical industry
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to set deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency in English is a must whilst Italian and Maltese are advantageous.
- Ability to lead teams, handle complaints professionally, and follow up with stakeholders to prevent delays.
