Our client is looking to expand its Quality team with the addition of a Quality Systems Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing the Quality systems across all operational processes.
Responsibilities:
Lead initiatives to ensure the safety and consistency of raw materials and finished products, including audits for franchise and third-party products.
Oversee internal and external audits, identifying food safety gaps and working with managers to implement solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.
Monitor regulatory inspections, ensuring compliance and collaborating with managers to address necessary corrective actions.
Manage the Product Withdrawal and Recall Program, providing guidance to operations and relevant teams during product recalls or withdrawals.
Stay up to date with food safety standards, HACCP, and emerging industry trends, applying this knowledge to enhance quality and compliance.
Foster strong relationships with regulatory agencies and industry organizations, helping the company adapt to new or evolving regulations.
Serve as a key point of contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring all processes align with local, state, and federal guidelines.
Collaborate with internal teams across the organization to support and improve quality and food safety initiatives.
Oversee the QA and Food Safety budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Train, develop, and mentor the Food Safety / QA team
Requirements:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support teams effectively.
A proactive, innovative, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a structured and process-driven mindset.
Proficiency in ICT tools and excellent presentation skills.
Knowledge of Food Safety Standards and HACCP is highly desirable.
