Business Development Executive

  Central Malta  |  up to €26,000 Annually 

Responsibilities

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the department's strategy, direction, and values, and address any discrepancies with your line manager.
  • Become a product expert to effectively promote and sell the company's offerings to current and potential clients, as well as deliver training to team members.
  • Conduct research to build and manage lead pipelines, identify key contacts, and stay informed about industry trends.
  • Maintain flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities as the organization evolves.
  • Analyze prospective clients' needs to recommend appropriate products.
  • Engage potential clients via chats, cold calls, and emails.
  • Qualify leads from campaigns and events as sales opportunities.
  • Negotiate terms, attend meetings, and establish deadlines to achieve both short- and long-term goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, address concerns, and act as a primary contact between clients and internal teams.
  • Oversee the commercial aspects of products, including positioning and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to meet client needs and deliver presentations as necessary.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure smooth and timely execution of sales processes.
  • Represent the company at fairs, conferences, and exhibitions, and travel for work when needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • A diploma or degree in business administration, business management, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in business development or a similar field.
  • Proven track record in meeting targets, generating leads, cold calling, acquiring new business, and managing key accounts.
  • A passion for sales with the ability to build strong professional relationships with clients and team members.
  • Experience managing the complete sales cycle, from opportunity development to closing.
  • A self-motivated individual with determination, persistence, and drive.
  • Fluency in both English and Italian.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to tailor presentations to various audiences.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • High levels of professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Experience in the mobile messaging industry or an IT background is advantageous.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, products, services, and trends in the SMS industry.
