Business Development Manager

Our client is seeking to recruit for a Business Development Manager to join a growing tech company. 

Duties include: 

  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategy: Target banks, insurance companies, and forex clients, crafting strategies that resonate with their unique business challenges and goals.
  • Achieve Revenue Targets: Own and achieve agreed-upon sales targets, ensuring consistent growth and success within the sector.
  • Upsell & Cross-sell: Identify and pursue upsell opportunities within existing accounts, continually expanding our product footprint across clients.
  • Customer Needs Assessment: Engage with prospective clients to understand their pain points and needs
  • Consultative Selling: Provide a consultative, client-first approach to selling by demonstrating the value of their solutions through presentations, demos, and conversations.
  • Lead Sales Cycle: Take ownership of the entire sales cycle, from proposal development through contract execution, working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth transitions and successful outcomes.
  • Product & Solution Team Partnership: Work closely with our Solution Delivery and Product teams to understand and refine the product offering, ensuring that it aligns with client expectations.
  • Customer Feedback Loop: Serve as the voice of the customer internally, sharing insights, feedback, and ideas from prospects to help refine our products and services.
  • Internal & External Presentations: Develop and present compelling business cases for clients and internal stakeholders, showcasing the potential of AI in financial services.
  • Customer Engagement: Collaborate with the customer success team to maximize engagement and usage, ensuring clients realize the full potential of our solutions.
  • Retention Strategy: Develop and execute strategies for customer retention, ensuring satisfaction, product adoption, and long-term loyalty.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in sales, with proven leadership experience in driving sales within the financial services sector. Candidate should demonstrate success in managing high-value accounts, meeting or exceeding sales targets, and leading strategic initiatives
  • Direct experience with sales, account management, or customer success within the financial services sector having achieved a minimum annual target of €500k in sales.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, strategic planning, and project management skills.
  • Strong track record of sales accomplishments and leading commercial negotiations in a quota-carrying role
