A technical solutions company is looking for a Solutions Architect to join their team. As a core member of the commercial team, you will add value to the company by assisting the Chief Commercial Officer, the Management team, and the rest of the Commercial team to develop and grow the Company’s business through technical sales excellence and relationship excellence practices with customers and prospects.
Responsibilities:
- Possess and maintain a sound understanding of the technical solutions offered and be able to apply such knowledge to develop winning value propositions that effectively align such technologies to customers’ overall strategies and needs.
- Use effective planning and communication techniques to elicit and understand customer requirements.
- Design technically feasible solutions that match customers’ scenarios and align with industry standards and best practices and develop and deliver client-facing presentations, proposals, and documentation that provide strong value articulation of a proposed solution.
- Define statements-of-works and collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and support to customers, in line with the customers’ expectations and committed SLAs.
- Report on the status of sales opportunities, POCs, implementation projects and support engagements as required, escalating potential issues to the attention of management in a timely manner.
- Build positive relationships and act as a trusted advisor to customers by ensuring predictable and consistent interactions and providing guidance and recommendations on architecture, technologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Have at least 5 years work experience in the technology sector and within a commercial context;
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of key technologies and platforms such as HPE, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365, VMware, Cisco to be able to design technically-feasible solutions in line with customer requirements;
- Be proficient articulating solutions based on the Microsoft M365 suite of services to help customers adopting a Digital Workplace environment;
- Possess strong communication and articulation skills to build trusted relationships with customers;
- Be a team player and able to work well with colleagues towards accomplishing common goals;
- Have strong prioritization skills to ensure achievement of yearly objectives;
Education and Experience
- Ideally tertiary level qualification in IT, Engineering or technology-related subject.
