Research and Development Chemist

  South of Malta  |  €27,000 - €32,000 Annually 

Our client in the Pharmaceutical Industry is seeking a Research and Development Chemist to join their R&D team. This role is key in developing, scaling up, and validating industrial processes within our laboratories.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct lab-scale trials for new API process development, process validations, optimizations, investigations, and second-source evaluations.  
  • Perform chromatographic (HPLC, UPLC, GC) and non-chromatographic (KF, Pot. Assay, IR, etc.) analyses to support R&D activities.  
  • Apply chemical principles and problem-solving techniques to complex research challenges.  
  • Work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.  
  • Assist with laboratory equipment maintenance, upgrades, and qualifications.  

Requirements

  • A degree (or higher) in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Science.  
  • Experience in a similar role is an advantage.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.  
  • Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail.  
  • A team player with the ability to work independently.
