Our client is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to ensure the security and resilience of on-premises and cloud IT infrastructure. The selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and mitigating security threats, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and logs from various security tools and respond to potential threats in real time.
- Investigate and manage security incidents, conducting forensic analysis and post-incident reviews to assess impact and prevent recurrence.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, working with IT teams to remediate security gaps.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Keep up to date with emerging cyber threats and leverage threat intelligence to proactively enhance security measures.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices, while providing security awareness training to staff.
- Assist in network security management, ensuring secure configurations and best practices.
- Communicate security risks and incidents effectively to internal stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as required by management.
Requirements
- MQF Level 6 qualification in Computer Science with at least 4 years of relevant experience OR MQF Level 5 qualification with 5 years of experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+) are considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, security technologies, and protocols (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, antivirus).
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST2, ISO 27002) and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency with security tools (e.g., SIEM, endpoint protection).
- Knowledge of scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
