IT Security Engineer

Our client is looking for an IT Security Engineer to join their growing team: 

Responsibilities: 

• Lead the evaluation, design, and implementation of cybersecurity technologies and services
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to create and maintain secure environments for clients
• Drive security-focused projects to ensure robust protection and compliance
• Review, develop, and approve security standards and technical implementation plans
• Provide technical guidance on non-security projects to ensure security best practices are followed
• Participate in tier 2/3 security operations support
• Be part of the on-call rotation for incident handling and response
• Manage incident response and remediation efforts to resolve security issues effectively

Requirements

• Strong understanding of IP networking, routing, firewalls, and endpoint security
• Expertise in at least 3 of the following areas: Next-Generation Firewalls, Network Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Web Application Firewalls, Log Management & SIEM, Cloud Security Platforms, SOAR Platforms, Endpoint Security Suites
• Proficiency in automation tools such as PowerShell or Python
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in configuring and troubleshooting VPNs, IPS systems, content security, and security information and event management systems
• Certifications from recognized industry leaders like Check Point, Cisco, CyberArk, or similar in IT security-related fields
