Calibration Technician

  South of Malta

Our clients a well know pharmaceutical company here is Malta is looking for a Calibration Technician. Your roles and responsibilities will include: 

  • Performs calibration activities on all site equipment in accordance to standard operating procedures and calibration protocols
  • Maintains and updates the calibration schedule and reviews and closes off calibration works
  • Ensures that the required calibration standards/reference devices to perform in-house calibrations are available and properly maintained
  • Liaises with external contractors with regards to external calibrations
  • Performs preventive maintenance in accordance to the preventative maintenance schedule and standard operating procedures on laboratory equipment
  • Performs corrective maintenance on laboratory equipment in the most efficient manner to ensure the shortest possible outage of equipment
  • Maintains the environmental monitoring systems
  • Actively participates in the design, procurement, training, installation, commissioning and qualification of new equipment
  • Prepares and updates Standard Operating Procedures, Calibration Protocols/Certificates and other relevant documentation

Requirements

  • Experience in laboratory and/or manufacturing equipment
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting skills and possess the ability to analyze problems rationally and provide solutions, if necessary, after consultation with immediate supervisor

Education and Experience

  • Advanced Diploma in Industrial Electronics or equivalent qualification
  • Electricity Installation, Alteration, Extension and Certification of Electrical Wirings and Fittings (Electrician Authorisation – A & B).
