A well-established client of ours operating within Hospitality, is searching for an Assistant Maintenance Manager to join their Engineering team. Reporting to the Assistant Maintenance Manager, the chosen candidate will handle a range of maintenance tasks, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems, boilers, water treatment systems, and other plant equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and maintaining the hotel's plant systems
- Performing diagnostics and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues affecting hotel operations
- Ensuring all plant operations comply with the local and international safety standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, pro-active and a strong problem solver
- Fluency in English is a must; Maltese highly preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software for maintenance tasks
Education and Experience
- Previous local experience in a similar role is mandatory
- Previous experience in hotel operations or hospitality is highly desired
- Applicants with Licence A will be given preference
