Our client, a leading group of companies in the Hospitality industry, is looking to recruit a Plant Technician to join their growing team. The chosen candidate will be responsible to:
- Perform regular inspections to identify defects in building services, equipment, and installations. Maintain accurate records of findings and actions taken.
- Conduct tests on building services and equipment using appropriate test equipment, documenting all results and adjustments.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks on building services, equipment, and installations, including necessary modifications to optimize performance, while keeping comprehensive records
- Address faults and breakdowns promptly, identifying, diagnosing, and repairing issues to restore functionality to building systems, appliances, and installations.
- Review drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications to determine the correct approach and sequence for operations and repairs.
- Operate and maintain all machinery and equipment, ensuring peak performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Oversee contractors’ personnel during maintenance, servicing, and installation tasks, verifying that work meets company standards.
- Provide technical assistance for the design, development, installation, and maintenance of building services and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to all operational, safety, and security standards established by the company.
- Collaborate with and provide support to other staff within the Maintenance Department as needed.
Requirements
- Able to work on their initiative
- Willing to work flexible hours and work with shifts on a seven-day schedule
- Knowledge of Plant room
Education and Experience
- Wireman’s license A and B
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar environment
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English language
- Have previous experience working in a similar environment and ideally have sound knowledge in guest room maintenance
