DevOps Engineer

  South of Malta  |  €32,000 - €38,000 Annually 

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in building, testing, and maintaining infrastructure and tools that streamline and automate the software development lifecycle. 

Your work will ensure the continuous delivery of software, enhancing the client's customer experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and expand our DevOps processes, practices, and tools to support software delivery teams
  • Collaborate with developers to automate test scripts within our CI/CD pipeline
  • Ensure the availability, scalability, and monitoring of critical systems and applications
  • Maintain and improve the DevOps infrastructure and tooling suite
  • Oversee and optimize database governance, including Oracle, MySQL, and MSSQL

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop effective solutions
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, and collaboration skills across technical teams
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and integrate them into daily tasks
  • Strong creativity and innovative thinking for problem-solving and process improvement

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Previous experience in designing, developing, testing and deploying DevOps toolchains to support continuous integration and delivery using a variety of technologies
  • Experience with different operating systems, especially Linux
  • Experience with virtualisation and orchestration technologies, such as VMWare, Open Stack, Docker Swarm and Kubernetes
  • Experience in building and maintaining workflows on a variety of systems, mainly GitLab CI pipelines

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
