Assistant Supply Chain Officer

Our client, a leading company in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Supply Chain Officer to join their team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Identify, assess, and onboard new suppliers as required
• Manage and resolve supplier-related issues, including delays and quality concerns
• Escalate critical issues to senior management when necessary
• Create and process purchase orders based on approved requisitions and MRP
• Maintain and update supplier documents in SAP regularly
• Monitor workflows in SAP and ensure timely completion of purchasing info records
• Assist with system deviations and corrective actions
• Generate and submit requested reports
• Process non-stock purchase orders based on templates or quotations
• Confirm and record goods receipts
• Issue and manage purchase orders for CMOs, ensuring price accuracy
• Process PO receipts upon goods confirmation

Requirements

• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
• Serve as a backup for the Purchasing Coordinator during absences, focusing primarily on related tasks
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Skilled in multitasking and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
• Confident and proactive in executing responsibilities
• Highly organized with excellent time management skills
• Work closely with the Supply Chain department and coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless communication

Education and Experience

• A diploma or Advanced Level education, along with experience in the Supply Chain sector
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Maltese is an asset
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, knowledge of GDP, and/or familiarity with SAP are considered advantageous
