Our client within the Aviation industry, is looking to recruit a Purchasing and Logistics Executive to join their growing team. reporting to the Purchasing and Logistics Manager, the chosen candidate will be responsible to:
- Handle routine shipments of all materials to and from storage and maintenance facilities, optimize the use of the Group’s available network for transportation;
- Establish and maintain an effective network of suppliers to support transportation and logistics needs;
- Provide 24/7 support for any Aircraft on Ground (AOG) or urgent logistics requirements to and from maintenance locations;
- Perform receiving and incoming inspections to ensure compliance with EASA and/or CAAI regulations;
- Manage quarantined materials due to documentation or other discrepancies and resolve issues promptly;
- Oversee the main warehouse, sub-stores at outstations, and large parts storage, whilst implementing and monitoring procedures for parts storage and issuance;
- Ensure all materials meet certification requirements in accordance with EASA and/or CAAI regulations;
- Issue purchase orders for timely provisioning of materials, including consumables, expendables, and repairable components;
- Handle unserviceable routable components needing repair by third-party maintenance organizations as per the Group’s policies and maintenance agreements;
- Oversee the repair cycle of components sent for overhaul or repair, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion;
- Coordinate with contracted component and material providers for timely provisioning of required materials;
- Provide 24/7 support for AOG or urgent requirements through the exchange, purchase, or repair of unserviceable components or materials;
- Assist Group Airlines with outsourced base maintenance checks by creating material pre-load kits;
- Manage warranties with vendors and repair agencies, collaborating with relevant experts;
- Assist the Logistics Manager with contract negotiations;
- Ensure all purchased materials and component repairs meet EASA and CAAI requirements;
- Support the Materials and Logistics Director in developing an accurate materials budget.
WORKING HOURS:
Monday - Friday normal office hours
On call on a weekend once every 6 OR 8 weeks + Once a week afternoon shift: 16:00 - 00:00 both worked from home
Requirements
- Demonstrated communication and negotiating skills
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in logistics Aviation is a must
- Proven experience in material management, logistics management or another relevant field
- Bachelors’ degree would be considered a plus
