We have a job of a Purchasing and Logistics Officer with one of our clients in the Retail industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement processes and ensuring efficient logistics operations to support the organization’s supply chain needs.
Responsibilities:
- Dealing with enquiries over the telephone and emails in a professional and timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data: logging of incoming orders and inputting merchandise details in Point-Of-Sale System.
- Collaborate with various suppliers while preparing and sending purchase orders.
- Coordinating shipment bookings of goods with freight forwarders.
- Liaising internally with storekeepers and warehouse team to finalise deliveries.
- Daily admin duties - scanning, shredding, filing, generating necessary reports.
- Handling of invoices and effecting payment as required.
- Resolve any issues related to procurement and logistics in a timely manner.
Working hours:
Monday to Friday - 07:30am to 16:00 (overtime is paid for)
Saturday - overtime when needed
Requirements
- IT Savvy with proficiency in Excel a must - creating of formulas, knowledge of pivot tables, VLOOK UP function as minimum
- Native Maltese is preferred, however, professional level of English is a must
- Fluency in Italian seen as an advantage
- Knowledge of customs procedures and E-Shop Point of Sale program is a plus
- Organised and able to multi-task
- Flexibility with working hours
Education and Experience
- Minimum O' Level Standard of Education is needed
