Ou client is highly esteemed in the hospitality industry. They would like to engage a Purchasing Manager as the team is growing.

The Role

  • The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing all procurement activities to ensure the timely acquisition of quality goods and services while optimizing costs. 
  • You will develop and implement strategic sourcing plans, aligning procurement with the operational and financial goals. 
  • Managing inventory effectively, they maintain optimal stock levels, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities. 
  • The role involves supervising procurement staff, including the Goods Receiving Officer and Storekeepers, while fostering collaboration with department heads.
  • You will have strong supplier relationships are essential, as the manager negotiates contracts, evaluates performance, and ensures product quality. 
  • You will handle compliance with industry policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements is a key aspect of the role. 
  • You will work closely with the Cost Controller and Finance team to align procurement with budgetary goals and spending forecasts. 
  • You will also support property development projects by sourcing construction materials, fixtures, and equipment in line with project timelines. 
  • Health and safety compliance is a priority, ensuring that all procured goods meet regulatory standards and storage protocols.
  • You will play a crucial role in cost efficiency, supplier management, and smooth operations.

Requirements

  • You will have experience in a similar role and position preferably in hospitality
  • You will have excellent communication skills
  • You will have proven negotation skills
