Purchasing Officer

One of our clients is looking for a Purchasing Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring that the organization acquires goods at the best possible prices and quality.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholder to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary to ensure continuity of supply.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities.
- Conduct regular assessments of supplier performance and compliance with contracts.
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities and expenditures for management review.

Requirements

• Proven Experience in Purchasing is a must
• IT Savvy - Excellent in Excel
• Fluency in English and Maltese is needed
• Able to work independently yet holds a team spirit
• Strong negotiation skills
• Organised and Attentive to detail

Education and Experience

• Degree level of education is preferred but not a must - Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
