Shipping Coordinator

  Central Malta  |  up to €26,500 Annually 

A client is ours is looking for a Shipping Coordinator to join their team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Tracking shipments and communicating status updates with clients and internal teams and maintain accurate records
  • Verifying shipment details and ensuring documentation is complete and correct;
  • Organizing the shipment of orders by dealing with shipping agents and transportation companies and evaluating different transport or shipping alternatives in terms of cost, time, reliability, and shipping documents;
  • Coordinating customs clearance relevant documentation process and forwarding of merchandise best shipping deals;
  • Registering products on the NSO website – by registering the products using the correct HS codes;
  • Liaising with the Warehouse team with regards to incoming consignments and the coordination of shipments from port to warehouse;
  • Inspecting the condition of pallets / goods upon arrival at the Warehouse / Bonds in Hal Far;
  • Supporting the Costings Clerk and to serve as a backup when required;
  • Attending to excise payments to Customs freight office in Luqa and Malta Freeport to ensure release of goods;
  • Keeping in communication as necessary (including after normal working hours, during weekends and public holidays);

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Shipping Coordinator or a similar role;
  • Strong knowledge of the local customs procedures 
  • Strong collaboration skills with a commitment to supporting the team;
  • Proficiency in using shipping and other relevant software;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong ability to review and ensure accuracy in documentation and shipments;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
