Our client, operating in the shipping industry and forms part of a prominent Group of Companies are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and supervising staff. Reporting to the Managing Director you responsibilities will include:
- Set out action plans aligned with the company’s strategy to ensure operations meet industry standards.
- Raise and process documentation promptly and according to standard procedures outlined in the company manual.
- Develop the company’s warehousing and logistics business.
- Generate new ideas and activities for business growth.
- Ensure warehouse safety and security standards are met
- Monitor warehouse operations and identify areas of improvement
- Prepare and submit reports on warehouse operations
- Liaising with the customs department
Working Hours: Monday - Friday
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience in logistics and warehousing, including customs procedures and documentation
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Must have a clean driving license and preferably a forklift license too
Education and Experience
- Preferably be in possession of a Logistics qualification
