Warehouse Manager

Our client in the Pharmaceutical industry is looking to recruit a Warehouse Manager to join their growing team. The chosen candidate will:

  • Utilize data, collaboration, and visual management techniques to drive optimal shift results.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assess and prioritize shift needs to maintain consistent picking workflows.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and maintain clear communication with the Supply Chain team.
  • Serve as a liaison with pharmacies, ensuring their requirements are met.
  • Maintain effective communication with the line manager and other relevant teams.
  • Prepare and submit end-of-day and ad hoc reports as required.
  • Escalate technical issues and other queries promptly and professionally.
  • Enforce process adherence, reporting any deviations to the line manager.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards with a “clean as you go” approach.
  • Ensure team access to necessary equipment and consumables for productivity.
  • Collaborate on projects with the Supply Chain Manager and other leaders to improve processes.
  • Conduct daily briefings and maintain regular communication with team members.
  • Monitor team performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing feedback to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Manage team timesheets, including attendance, absences, and lateness, while adhering to company policies.
  • Coach and motivate team members, fostering engagement and teamwork.
  • Support onboarding and training of new and temporary staff, including creating and implementing training plans.
  • Develop and update work instruction sheets in collaboration with the line manager.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and provide input on employee hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety (H&S) regulations.
  • Promote safe workflows, ensuring team awareness of safety procedures related to equipment, lifting, and movement.
  • Collaborate with the line manager to minimize errors and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Participate in daily and weekly meetings.
  • Maintain an efficient schedule for ordering warehouse, pharmacy, office consumables, and cleaning supplies.
  • Provide support for other warehouse tasks as required.

Education and Experience

  • Proven leadership and team management experience in a warehouse.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of H&S regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
