Infrastructure Manager

Our client, operating in manufacturing is looking for a hands-on technical Infrastrcuture Manager, to join their team: 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and key systems.
• Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, access management, and vulnerability assessments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues swiftly to minimize system downtime.
• Stay updated with evolving technologies to ensure the organization benefits from modern and secure solutions.
• Plan and lead infrastructure and security changes with minimal disruption to business operations.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear, accessible information.
• Deliver training and support for users to ensure adoption of new systems and technologies.
• Develop and oversee IT infrastructure and security budgets, aligning expenditures with long-term goals and cost efficiency.
• Negotiate vendor contracts to secure competitive pricing and quality services.
• Analyze metrics and provide regular reports and insights to leadership for strategic decision-making.
• Provide strategic direction aligned with business goals for infrastructure and security initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• On - call duties on a roster basis. 

Requirements

• Strong project delivery skills, with a focus on timely, high-quality outcomes.
• Ambitious, team-oriented, and eager to learn and grow.
• Proficient in IT networking and security methodologies.
• Experience with data centre infrastructure (servers, storage, clustering, network appliances).

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 4 years’ experience in a infrastructure role.
• Familiarity with applications such as VMware, Veeam, VPN, and 3CX PABX systems.
