Systems Engineer

Our client is looking to recruit for a System Engineer within the Enterprise Solutions team. You will be in close coordination with the other technical teams responsible for designing and implementing Cloud solutions. 

Responsibilities would include:  

• Onboarding, administering and performing operational tasks on customers’ cloud and on-premise environments.
• Helping design and then implement new technical projects for our customers.
• Work day to day on operational issues, requests and project tasks involving various technologies e.g. Azure, Windows servers, Linux servers, patching tools, server virtual machine etc.
• Installing, configuring, administrating and managing Azure compute instances, Azure Backup, Azure Storage Monitor, snapshot, Azure Storage.
• Configuring, administrating various Microsoft 365 technologies including Defender and Intune.
• Proactively scheduling preventive maintenance and service enhancements to customers’ managed environments across systems, networking, security, and cloud.
• Taking ownership of issues, with client focus to prioritize and resolve problems;.
• Working with the commercial team to identify customer requirements and help build the right solution.
• Documenting environments and problem solutions.

Requirements

• Must have a hands-on experience of system administration of Windows server-side infrastructure, virtual machines, and associated technologies on physical servers.
• Have extensive hands-on system administration skills in multiple tech areas such as: Windows and/or Linux server-side infrastructure, virtual machines, and associated technologies on physical servers, VMWare and database administration.
• Broad knowledge and understanding of Microsoft technologies like O365, Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Devops
• Excellent attention to detail
• Must be able to effectively coordinate and multi-task across various groups and functional teams inside and outside of the organization.
• Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing, high-growth environment.

Education and Experience

• Hold a minumum of a Bachelors Degree in IT or equivalent
• Certifications in Microsoft Azure is a must have
