Our client, operating withing the manufacturing industry is looking to recruit a Field Support Specialist to join their growing team of professionals:
Responsibilities:
Maintenance: Perform corrective and preventative maintenance per OEM and HID standards; ensure high-quality, timely repairs.
Installation & Testing: Install, configure, test, and commission hardware/software; support FAT, integration, and acceptance testing.
Incident Management: Provide L1/L2 hardware, software, and peripheral support; manage incidents using appropriate tools.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical materials, including user guides, troubleshooting docs, and training resources.
Change Management: Plan, track, test, and document system changes; ensure backup plans are in place.
Training: Train operators and support staff (L1/L2) on equipment operation and maintenance.
Inventory: Maintain spare parts inventory; manage tool upkeep and compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and third parties on complex issues and testing.
Risk Management: Identify risks, propose mitigations, and track work packages to meet project objectives.
Reporting: Provide status updates, visit reports, and feedback to stakeholders.
Leadership: Lead technical meetings, communicate critical decisions, and ensure high operational standards.
Compliance & Safety: Promote safety, environmental, and legal compliance in all activities., operator training, and L1/L2 maintenance training for customer staff or local partners.
Requirements
4 years experience as a mechanical engineer or service technician
Experience in repair and maintenance with proven fault-finding capabilities in all fields of mechatronics (ie. electricial, electronics, IT and mechanics)
Strong command of English, both written and spoken
Ability and willingness to travel internationally
Legally eligible to work in EU and Internationally
Education and Experience
Higher Level education in electro-mechanical engineering, a related degree
