Our client, a local school is looking for an IT Manager to join their team to lead and support their digital transformation initiatives, manage a small IT Team and ensure secure, efficient technology use across the school.
What you'll be doing
Lead key IT initiatives, including the Wi-Fi 7 rollout, device programs, and infrastructure upgrades.
Manage the IT budget to support school objectives.
Provide guidance on technology investments and long-term needs.
Ensure optimal performance by maintaining servers, networks, and systems.
Oversee equipment inventory and software licensing management.
Supervise data backups, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity protocols.
Collaborate with service providers on firewall and cloud management.
Manage user accounts and permissions, primarily using Google Workspace.
Ensure devices are up-to-date with the latest security measures.
Operate a responsive IT helpdesk for both staff and students.
Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and contractors providing support services.
Enforce data protection policies and ensure compliance with GDPR.
Support data management in collaboration with the Data Systems Manager.
Oversee IT procurement to ensure cost-effectiveness, including management of printing services.
Coordinate with the Advancement Officer on website and social media management.
Track IT operations through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Stay current with emerging technologies to continuously improve school IT systems.
