Our client, operating in the manufacturing industry, is looking for a motivated IT Operations Support Officer to join their growing team:
Responsibilities:
Log, prioritise, assign, and follow up on all service requests related to computer hardware and software.
Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner.
Provide assistance and support to internal users and team members with IT-related needs.
Monitor the IT ticketing system regularly and provide weekly progress updates to the Team Leader.
Maintain accurate records of all IT hardware and software licenses.
Ensure the IT store is organised and stocked with necessary supplies.
Manage the procurement process for IT equipment and supplies, ensuring timely processing of purchase orders and invoices in line with company procedures.
Oversee and ensure the optimal functioning of IT infrastructure such as video conferencing systems and the PABX system.
Prepare and configure the required IT hardware and software for new employees.
Recover and audit IT equipment and deactivate user accounts when employees exit the organisation.
Requirements

Education and Experience
Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Practical knowledge of computer and laptop repair/configuration.
Familiarity with ITIL best practices.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365 and related Microsoft platforms.
