A new role has arisen in the manufacturing industry for a SupportTechnician.
Responsibilities include -
Providing comprehensive support for IT systems, hardware, and peripherals, including troubleshooting, request fulfilment, and ticket management.
Delivering on-site engineering services per customer contracts, ensuring system availability, and maintaining customer satisfaction through corrective and preventive maintenance.
Supporting L1 and L2 hardware and peripheral issues, coordinating with internal teams and third parties for escalated incidents.
Monitoring and addressing concerns in the printing environment, and providing regular reports and updates.
Installing and configuring hardware/software, maintaining knowledge of relevant contracts, and utilizing company tools for service delivery.
Managing changes to live systems with proper planning, documentation, and testing.
Requirements
Comfortable working in a client-facing environment
Has a valid driving licence
Hardworking, goal-oriented, and energetic, with the ability to perform efficiently, effectively, and professionally in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing
Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards
Experience in installing and configuring PCs
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Education and Experience
Higher level education in Mechanical/Electrical engineering (A-levels, diploma, or Degree);
2 years experience handling electro/mechanical equipment or supporting desktop workstations and printers
