Our client is looking to employ a Public Relations & Communications Specialist to join their growing team. As part of your responsibilities you will be:
- Creating and writing engaging content for internal use, such as stories and interviews with various teams and staff members.
- Producing content for public awareness campaigns.
- Drafting well-crafted external press releases.
- Managing social media content, including writing posts, creating stories, designing visuals, and scheduling uploads as needed. Content should be customized for different platforms.
- Writing compelling content for placement in both local and international media outlets.
- Designing simple yet appealing graphics for social media, event posters, and other needs.
- Maintaining effective stakeholder management by collaborating with key internal stakeholders to identify and develop engagement opportunities to achieve the organization’s communication goals.
- Working with a variety of content formats, such as videos and podcasts, to create engaging material tailored to each medium.
- Monitoring digital and print media coverage and circulating relevant information as necessary.
- Updating website content promptly using appropriate tools and ensuring it is optimized for SEO.
- Assisting in the creation of materials for events or workshops as needed.
- Collaborating with other internal stakeholders to prepare interim and annual reports.
- Supporting the Department in organizing, coordinating, and managing the company’s involvement in national and international events.
- Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors of marketing/public relations services and managing campaigns in collaboration with them.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday
Requirements
- Have an excellent command of the English language, with a flair for writing and an eye for detail
- Demonstrate good research capabilities and have excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency in harnessing the potential of diverse content types, including video productions and podcasts, amongst others.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Be able to organise, multi-task, meet strict deadlines and prioritise tasks in accordance with the requirements of the function.
- Previous experience in PR and Content Writing is a must.
- Candidates must already be based in Malta, with the legal right to work in Malta.
Education and Experience
- A minimum of an MQF level 6 in preferably English, Communications or Journalism.
- Knowledge of Wordpress, MailChimp and Canva will be considered an asset.
