Accountant
An accountant would be responsible for the internal accounts of a company. Depending on the level, they would be handling the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements together with VAT and tax returns. They may also be involved in budgeting and cashflow projections. An accountant must be highly meticulous, able to work with very tight deadlines and have strong excel skills.
Client Accountant
Client accountants are responsible for client portfolios. Depending on the seniority of the role, this might involve preparing VAT and tax return forms as required. Verifying and posting transactions up to preparation of management accounts and financial statements.
