KONNEKT has joined the likes of Microsoft, Salesforce, Betsson, Zendesk, Tableau, Qlik, CreditInfo and Lexus, to sponsor the very first edition of the Big Data Summit to be held later this month.

The first event of its kind to be held in Malta, the Big Data Summit aims at bringing together an international group of business leaders, policy makers, academics, journalists and technology leaders to discuss the future of the global economy and how big data and advanced analytics is transforming today’s business world.

A number of international experts will share their insights and vision relating to big data, current trends and future expectations. One of the key speakers is Charles Radclyffe, a serial entrepreneur who has been involved in big data projects with major financial institutions including HSBC, Deutsche Bank, Barclays and JP Morgan Chase. Other speakers include: Wilfried Grommen, Chief Technology Officer at Hewlett Packard, Matthew Caruana Galizia, from the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, Neil Sammut, Data Scientist at Teradata and Dr Abdalla Kablan, Entrepreneur and Financial Data Analytics expert.

The speakers will be addressing key major developments where Big Data is having an impact, including areas such as the IT industry, especially in disciplines like Artificial Intelligence (AI), smart transportation and the future of the motor car, journalism, financial services and marketing as well as the “Internet of Things” (IOT).
